A Multimedia Life — The Documentary DVD (2006)
International Aboriginal spokesperson, medal recipient from Queen Elizabeth II, digital art pioneer with a Ph.D. in Fine Arts, singer/songwriter with over 20 albums and an Academy Award for the song Up Where We Belong – this list only skims the surface of the remarkable achievements of Buffy Sainte-Marie.
A Multi-Media Life in which Buffy's extraordinary life story is told on screen – from her early days bursting onto the Greenwich Village Folk scene in the 60's to becoming an Oscar-winning songwriter, a Sesame Street regular, an international Aboriginal spokesperson and a pioneering digital artist. Buffy lights up the screen as this documentary offers privileged access to her life backstage, on reserves and at her home in Hawaii and mixes current performance footage with archival film.
Interviews with Joni Mitchell, Robbie Robertson, Bill Cosby, Randy Bachman, John Kay and Eric Andersen add even more star power to the documentary.
